The Main Park is located between Vine and Race streets at SW 7th street. It consists of a large play area among several shade trees, swing sets, merry-go-round, a band stand, covered shelter with barbeque grills, 2 basketball courts and benches to relax on while the kids play. New playground equipment was installed in the spring of 2013. It was largely made possible by a grant from the State Farm "Cause An Effects" program. Children and adults love it!
Slides, large and small and swing sets are popular locations for children in the park.
Two paved and lined basketball courts are provided for both young and old.
The covered pavilion is equiped with picnic tables.
And you can do a little outdoor cooking with the grill that are adjacent to the pavilion.
The band stand get much use during the Atlanta Fall Festival for presentations
and award activities.
Enjoy the expanse of the park, - the shade and the beauty!
Children only - but there is lots of fun to be had on the playground equipment within the park. This set is located next to the Barn and pavilion.
